Health AwarenessThe "Hadassah Cares" breast cancer awareness campaign has educated hundreds of thousands of women about breast self-examination, mammography screening, and proper breast health care.
Through the "Check it Out" program, Hadassah has taught more than 40,000 high school girls how to perform a breast self-exam, and will be developing programs with the Girl Scouts to reach even more teenagers.
Through the "Act Against Osteoporosis" campaign, Hadassah is spreading the word that osteoporosis is a concern for people of all ages - urging women to go for bone density testing, exercise regularly, and eat a balanced diet with lots of calcium-rich food.
